Visit of the Korean high ranking defence delegation

Within the framework of the first meeting of Korean-Hungarian Joint Military-Technical Cooperation Committee, on 25 October 2016 the Korean delegation has met representatives of the Hungarian defence industry in the EL-TECH Center.

BHE AT PMREXPO

BHE participated at the PMRExpo in Cologne, Germany between November 22-24 to exhibit its various radio solutions (TETRA, PMR, DMR) including single, multiple band repeater family and related narrow and broad band passive components. Apart from the traditional analogue and digital off-air repeaters, high reliable optical master slave architectures were presented there too.

BHE Space Team Activities in September

Members of BHE Space Team participated in ESA’s Industry Space Days (ISD) in The Netherlands from 20th to 22nd September and in the 67th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) between 26th and 30th September in Guadalajara, Mexico. Additionally, BHE was invited to hold a presentation during the Hungarian Researchers’ Night.

This year ISD in ESA ESTEC included a small conference and a nice exhibition of innovative SMEs active in different fields of space research and applications. Organizers also prescheduled a total of 9500 (!) “rapid dating” type B2B meetings (25 minutes each) for more than 900 participants, - representing 300+ SMEs from 30+ countries.

BHE at EDR Conference

BHE successfully participated at EDR Conference where our company introduced the latest developments including the dual RF band dual optical fed critical communication repeater system - an architecture which can be effectively used in metro system requiring extra security and reliability. Visitors could also get familiar with the options of WDM (wavelength division multiplex) techniques where the number of the slave devices can be increased up to 16 on one single master unit.

BHE at CCW 2016 in Amsterdam

BHE successfully participated at CCW 2016 in Amsterdam between May 31 -June 2, 2016. The company presented there its latest development in this field including single, multiple bands and DAS architecture too.

Belorussian delegation at BHE during their official visit to Budapest

A Belorussian delegation visited BHE on 20 April 2016. The delegation of 4 led by Petr Baltrukovich Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Science and Technology (SCST) of the Republic of Belarus arrived to Budapest to have discussions at the National Research, Development and Innovation Office (NRDIO) about the cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation (STI) between the two countries. It was the first meeting of the STI Joint Working Group. Following the official meetings they also visited the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the University of Technology.

Introduction of cognitive radar for enhanced collision avoidance of UAV: Originally the aim of our project was the „Introduction of cognitive radar for enhanced collision avoidance of UAV”. When we closed the project we created a prototype of a „flexible radar & video & communications hardware and software system against UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle)”. We combined microwave UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) and MM-wave SRR (Short Range Radar) technologies with MIMO (Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output) antenna arrangements.
